About Jacey Best

Jacey Best is a junior BMA soprano voice student at DePauw University.  She is presently part of many choirs, including Vox Animae, Festival Choir, Gobin Methodist Church Choir, and First United Methodist Church Choir during holidays. She has also performed in various shows such as Hansel and Gretel at the IU Musical Arts Center and Clowes Memorial Hall, The Addams Family, Into the Woods, The Little Prince, and Die Fledermaus at Depauw University's Moore Theatre.  Jacey has been involved in music for most of her life, participating in IU Children's Choir, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Stages, and ISSMA. She enjoys opportunities that allow her to travel, such as the two choir tours abroad where she sang as a soprano. At the age of 15, she did her first tour with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp to Germany, France, Italy, and Belgium. There, she learned how to connect with people despite barriers such as language and cultural differences. At 20, she did her second tour with DePauw University, which took her to Lima and Cuzco, Peru. Knowing the Spanish language, she was able to communicate adequately, allowing for deeper immersive learning and liason. Currently, she plans to pursue a Graduate degree in vocal performance and experiment with music composition.
